2008 FRANKLAND RIVER RIESLING Grapes were first planted in the Frankland River region in the early 1960s and over the past 40 years, the region has developed an enviable reputation for producing Riesling wines of exceptional and unique quality. The fruit was picked in the cool of night to retain and preserve the delicate, elegant fruit vitality and flavours. Fermentation took place in stainless steel vats at relatively cool temperatures, employing neutral yeast strains to retain the intense fruit flavours, structure and complexity. Our 2008 Frankland River Riesling exhibits aromas of orange blossom and fresh lime. The palate is refined and crisp, with intense flavours of citrus, mandarin and pear, finishing with cleansing natural acidity and lingering citrus flavours. Drink now with seafood and salads or carefully cellar for 4 to 5 years to increase richness and complexity.
